Medicare Doesn't Cover You Abroad. Medicare Part A & B coverage is limited to the US and its territories. You need separate international coverage while abroad.
Part B Decision: You can delay Part B enrollment without penalty if you have employer coverage abroad. When you return, you get a Special Enrollment Period. But if you DON'T have qualifying coverage, late enrollment penalty is 10% per year of delay.
